Elisa Arteta studies at Official School of Dance of Navarre and graduates in Economics at UPNA in 2002. She continues with her artistic education at the University Miguel Hernández during three years (2002-2005) and at Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance, in Austria, during one more year (2005-2006). She attends the MA program in Performing Practice and Visual Culture in 2013-2014 at the University of Castilla-La Mancha with lessons at the Reina Sofía Museum, La Casa Encendida, Matadero and Teatro Pradillo.

Since 2007 she works on choreography and video. Her works have been shown in many countries within Europe and abroad. She has taken part in festivals like Dança em Foco (Brasil), Art As Research (Ottersberg, Germany), PixelPops! (Paris), Emergeandsee (Berlin), Okuparte (Huesca, Spain), zero’n’one (Berlin), Laboratorio Curatorial (collective exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao), or SUMAR, HACER, DESAPRENDER, at Universidad de Cuenca.

She also obtained several artistic residencies in Spain and abroad, like Reiss ArtiPerformative (Italy), Incheon Art Platform (South Korea), Parkinprogress (Nottingham, United Kindom), La Casa Encendida and Centro Dos de Mayo (Madrid), Djerassi, in California (US), Leal.lav (Tenerife, Spain) or Espacio Inestable (Valencia, Spain).
